Bond Election February 11, 2025

Cushing Public Schools is holding a NO TAX INCREASE bond election on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Anyone who lives in the Cushing Public Schools district (you do not have to live in City limits, just within the school district) is eligible to vote. Bond funds will be used to purchase the following:

  1. Seven full size (71 passenger) yellow school buses

  2. One (53 passenger) school bus with a lift for special needs students

  3. At least one full size SUV for student activity transportation

  4. Two Ford F-150 trucks for Agriculture Education

  5. Equip new vehicles with cameras

The bond will appear on the ballot as two propositions. Proposition one is for the agriculture trucks and cameras. Proposition two is for the other remaining vehicles. Both propositions must pass with a supermajority (60%).

Early voting will be available at the Cushing Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, February 6th and Friday, February 7th from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Anyone who is eligible to vote may cast an early vote at the Chamber office (1301 E Main St). Polls will be open on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. You can see a sample ballot, check your voter registration status and find your polling place HERE.
